| Russian utilization of steel quote for export to Europe - 08 Sep, 2010 | ||

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Russian steelmaking companies have supplied to EU countries over 1.16 million tonnes of steel products in January to August. However, it is noticed that Russian manufacturers have used only 50.76% from the quota defined by Euro commission and it is quite possible they may not exhaust it in full till the end of the year. As per report, the quota for export to EU for hot rolled coils used by 88.65%, for other flat products by 58.94%, for heavy plates by 25.51%, for alloys and covered steel by 21.83%, for long products by 17.9%, for wire rod by 17.66% for beams 0%.
